PURE TALENT

Back in 2009, I was lucky enough to be next door neighbors with some of the coolest guys! Jesse Wride, Austin Anderson and Garrett Hendrickson. They were starting this sweet band and I went over to their house almost every day to hear them practice and mess around. I learned every word of all their songs and became a little obsessed for a while :) I am not ashamed. We all get obsessed with bands! Jesse is INCREDIBLE at the piano and Austin... that kid can play the drums like I've never seen! They had just their little living room to play in and perform for several of us in the ward but I am so glad that I have stayed friends with them over all these years! Because so much time has passed since 2009, they are all married (except Court Eccles on the bass!) and some have cute little babies! They still continue to make music and this is why I am blogging about them today!

I have so many favorite songs but my number one is called LIFEBOAT. Lifeboat is on their album, Indigo. This album release had 2 dates and I went to both shows and they were magical as always!
I am not kidding you when I tell you the these guys are so talented. Listening to them live is even 10 times better then listening full blast in your car ( we all know that is pretty good). 

Their EP LOVE ON THE RUN is also incredible. The song LOVLIER is so good from that little album. 


I love their old stuff most... that is just because i knew them so well when they wrote and played it. Their first album was called Work of Art.

Their newest release is called MONSTERS. You can watch the music video on YouTube! Check it out!! From the album Monsters, I love the song called Sidewalks.




Not only do they make their own music but Jesse is insane when it comes to rappin/talking/singing so fast! He has done several covers of the latest radio hits. You can watch and listen on YouTube, iTunes and Spotify.

The past week or so, I have been feeling really down. Not like emotional down, but spiritually down. I can feel satan working on me by using my hard feelings toward others to stir inside me and create hatred and anger and ultimately the distance of Gods presence. He is working hard. I feel evil around me and i'm getting mad easily and short with Jared and Luna especially. She is at the most difficult age so far. 22 months. She is testing my patience and i'm giving into the adversary hard core. On top of that, Jared has been struggling with things and that isn't making matters better. I had a massage with Tony and i was telling him how i was feeling and he told me that sometimes that happens to him and every time it has, it has meant that satan in working hard on him because something amazing or spiritual was about to happen. Blessings from 10 day social media fast..

DAY 1- This morning I woke up and played with Luna instead of letting her play alone and get on both my IG accounts and FB. We got up, made oatmeal together and listened to the the La La Land soundtrack and danced! I usually look at my phone on and off during breakfast. After breakfast we played some more, got dressed and cleaned up the house and folded laundry while I listened to a podcast instead of turning the TV on to watch a show. Later this evening I went to the gym and grabbed some food for Jared and I at In n Out. The lines both in and out are always long so i would normally check my phone while i waited in line but i just stood there in thought. while i was waiting i had a thought to get an extra cheeseburger. I didnt know why i had this thought because Luna wouldn't eat that. I didnt get the burger because i have a hard time deciding whether or not in the spirit or just my own thoughts. Come Follow Me Challenge

Staring in January 2019, the prophet announced a new program called, Come, Follow Me. This program is made for individuals and families as a way to strengthen our faith. This weeks challenge was to write down/ share your testimony of Christ and the truth we learn about him from the apostle, John. As we studied in John in the New Testament, there were so many great things to remember about Christ. Here are a few that i picked up as i read: 1. Christ is full of grace & truth 2. He is the source of truth and light 3. He is the creator  4. He was from the beginning  5. He gives power to his believers  6. His is the reason each of us can live eternally, through his atonement we are saved from death.  ( These can be found in John 1: 1-18) These are only a few of the things that describe Christ.
